The DIMACS REU program at Rutgers supports interdisciplinary projects focused on computer science and discrete mathematics. The REU students are mentored one-to-one by Rutgers faculty. Projects include topics in theoretical computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, biology, and other projects based on algorithms. The DIMACS REU combines many associated subprograms, which are administered together and run concurrently as a single program. The typical cohort size is 30-40 students. A select group of students will spend 2 weeks in Prague as part of the international program component.
