The REU Site in Trustworthy AI and Security for Intelligent Vehicles and Transportation Systems at The University of Alabama (UA) will host a group of talented undergraduate students from universities across the nation in an intensive 10-week summer research experience. Through this program, students engage as part of a research community that focuses on developing novel secure solutions that employ trustworthy AI, applied cryptography and machine learning for Intelligent Vehicles and Transportation Systems. This program is a great opportunity for undergraduates (sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors) to get engaged in hands-on research activity under the supervision of experienced faculty mentors throughout the summer. Our program includes weekly seminars/workshops, preparation of a research poster, individual academic career counseling, and hands-on training with real equipment. The program runs from May 18, 2026, to July 24 2026. Financial Support Each participant will receive: 10-week Stipend ($7,000) Meal support (Up to $1,500) On-campus housing during the Site duration.
