The BATTERI Internship Program at The Ohio State University is your opportunity to make a real impact in the clean technology and advanced manufacturing industries. What is BATTERI? BATTERI (Bridging Academic Training Through Experiential Research and Innovation) is a paid, 10-week summer program designed to prepare STEM undergraduate students from all backgrounds for careers in advanced battery manufacturing. It is located in the newly renovated Battery Cell R&D Center within Ohio State’s Institute for Materials and Manufacturing Research (IMR). Through a blend of innovative learning practices and real-world experiences, BATTERI is your gateway to the future of clean energy and sustainable technology. What You'll Do Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside experts in chemistry, materials science and engineering, and mechanical engineering. Collaborative Problem Solving: Engage in Project-Based Learning to address real-world challenges in the electric vehicle market. Innovative Thinking: Develop an Entrepreneurial Mindset to identify and act on the commercial potential of your ideas and research. Hands-On Experience: Operate state-of-the-art equipment in a cutting-edge facility used in battery manufacturing and clean technology development. Expand Your Network: Receive mentorship from industry leaders, academics, and entrepreneurs while participating in exclusive networking activities. Eligibility

BATTERI is targeting student interns in STEM focused early Bachelor of Science and Associate degree programs. Students must be currently enrolled in one of our partner institutions in order to apply: Ohio State University (Columbus and regional campuses), Columbus State Community College, or Wilberforce University. This is an in-person opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Students will have the option of living on-campus for the 10-week duration, or commuting locally: Stipend ($700/week) will be provided. Ohio State University Columbus campus housing/parking provided. Interns commuting locally can qualify for travel cost reimbursement.
