Overview

The Buckeye CyberCorps® Scholarship for Service (SFS) Scholarship seeks to recruit and train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to meet the needs of the cybersecurity mission for Federal, State, local, and tribal governments. The scholarships are funded through grants awarded by the National Science Foundation for students at The Ohio State University. The award includes: A stipend of $27,000 per year ($13,500/semester) for undergraduate students (first year of BS/MS). A stipend of $37,000 per year ($18,500/semester) for graduate students (MS and PhD). 100% tuition and required fees from The Ohio State University using grant funds from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The stipend will be paid per semester and will continue as long as the student is enrolled in the program and the 1 credit hour seminar course. Other awards include: A professional allowance of $6,000 per academic year for the SFS Job Fair and other related travel, conferences, research materials, books and supplies including a one-time purchase of a laptop, professional training, and certifications, etc. Students in the program are then responsible to work for the government as an intern at least once, and upon graduation equal to or greater than the number of years of receipt of scholarship funds. More details available through the CyberCorps website.
