The Chicago Botanic Garden REU is a 10-week paid summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates program in plant biology and conservation. About 10 undergraduates each summer work at the Garden's Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Plant Conservation Science Center on projects ranging from plant genomics to orchid-microbe interactions, ecosystem monitoring, and conservation research. Students collect data, attend professional development workshops, visit other scientific institutions, and present at a capstone symposium.
