The Ecology, Evolution, and Working Landscapes (EEWL) REU provides undergraduates with research experience in ecology and evolutionary biology, discussion of the interconnections between society and research, professional development, and mentoring. We seek to support the critical transition from undergraduate to scientist, and thus to prepare students for graduate study or for fruitful careers in environmental biology.

Requirements: U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States Current community college students; or students at 4-year institutions who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors with at least one term of undergraduate study after REU completion Community college students must complete at least one course in general biology prior to the start of the REU Students at 4-year institutions must complete general biology and at least one course in ecology, evolution, animal behavior, or environmental science prior to the start of the REU
