Participants will gain hands-on experience through technical training, collaborative research projects, and field visits to explore innovative solutions for energy efficiency, environmental impact reduction, and sustainable engineering. The program fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, pairing students with faculty and industry mentors to address real-world challenges like retrofitting systems for eco-friendly refrigerants and optimizing HVACR performance. By combining skill development, research execution, and career preparation, the REU aims to equip students with the technical expertise and motivation to become leaders in advancing sustainable technologies and addressing environmental challenges in the HVACR industry.
