Graduate Technical Mentors will guide a team of two undergraduate scholars as they complete an applied AI project during the spring semester and continue into the Summer 2026 internship phase. Mentors will provide technical guidance, code review, milestone planning, and showcase preparation—working alongside an industry mentor (career coaching) and faculty advisor (academic alignment).
Graduate Technical Mentors, ExLent AI Interns Mentorship,
Current MS or PhD student in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline at Bowie State University. Completed graduate-level coursework in AI/ML. Demonstrated proficiency in Python and one or more of the following: Data preprocessing, Supervised/unsupervised machine learning, Deep learning frameworks, MLOps basics, Responsible AI principles Preferred Qualifications Prior software development or applied research experience Experience mentoring undergraduate students Familiarity with cloud-based AI tools and collaborative repositories (Git/GitHub)
