Overview

NIST's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) at the Gaithersburg, MD campus is an 11-week hands-on research experience in any of NIST's six laboratories. Students work with world-class mentors on projects supporting the NIST measurement-science mission. Applicants select first- and second-choice host laboratories.
