The Scholars of Excellence in Engineering Design (SEED) program at Texas State University (TXST) anticipates offering a limited number of scholarships to current TXST engineering students during the 2026-2027 academic year. We invite you to apply if you meet the eligibility requirements provided below. In addition to the scholarship, the SEED program offers in-major faculty mentoring, design workshops, professional development opportunities, and social programming for participating students.

A citizen of the United States, a national of the United States, an alien admitted as a refugee under section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, or an alien lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence. A FAFSA applicant who is eligible for the Federal Pell Grant. Pursuing an engineering degree at the Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University (TXST). A semester GPA of 3.0 or higher every semester in residence at TXST. Have completed all the following courses with grades of C or better by the end of the Spring 2026 semester: CHEM 1335 Engineering Chemistry CHEM 1135 Engineering Chemistry Laboratory PHYS 2325 Mechanics PHYS 2125 Mechanics Laboratory MATH 2472 Calculus II Have completed at TXST a minimum of 29 and a maximum of 63 credits that count towards their engineering major by the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
