Overview

This is a 9-week long hands-on research experience program for undergraduate students to make materials and devices for semiconductor and electronic applications. The program will include Introduction lectures on semiconductor industry, semiconductor and electronic devices, the chemistry and physics in making these devices; Hands-on experiences on making the semiconductor and electronic materials and devices; Introduction on the broader impacts of research and development, professional networking and future career advices. In addition to the learning experiences, the participants will be paid a weekly stipend. Lodging and transportation will be provided. Students will also be encouraged to attend a national conference with the expenses covered. We are looking for about 10 undergraduate students each year. The students should be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States. The students should major in a STEM field, and preferably in Physics, Chemistry, Materials, or an Engineering. Application is open till all the openings are filled. Eligibility

U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States Applicants should currently enrolled in an undergraduate institution and preferably have a >3.0 GPA Applicants should major in a STEM field
